HARTS RANGE AMATEUR RACE CLUB presents:

THE 63RD HARTS RANGE BUSH SPORTS WEEKEND

Held annually at the Harts Range Racecourse, set in the majestic East MacDonnells area, is the ‘Harts Range Bush Sports Weekend’ aka ‘Harts Range Races’.

The NT August Picnic Races Public Holiday stem from this 60yr old tradition started at the Harts Range Racecourse, 215km East of Alice Springs on the Plenty Highway. See Club History

Dates for the 2010 races:
Saturday 31st July, Sunday 1st August and Monday 2nd August

Future Dates for the races are:
2011- Saturday 30th July, Sunday 31st July, Monday 1st August
2012 - Saturday 4th Aug, Sun. 5th Aug, Monday 6th August

Over 2 days of fun for all the family.

Gymkhana, Stockhorse Races, Sports events including Running Races, Novelty Races for kids, Lizard Race, Ladies Cow Tail Toss, High Jump, Tug O War. Playgroup Activities and Jumping Castle for the little ones.

Harts Range Ball: Saturday Evening (Gentlemen require a tie). The theme for 2010 is 1970’s.
Talent Quest: Sunday Evening.

If you require public transport to and from the races, please email us as early as possible with your requirements (eg. I would need swag/meals provided for or self sufficient). The club will then attempt to contract a bus company for transport, but this will depend on numbers.

Gate entry is Adults: $15/head for one day, $30/head for 2 days.

Children: under 16 are free.

Camping facilities are provided – showers and toilets. A $10/car amenities fee now applies.

Bring your own swag and firewood.

BBQ’s are allowed.

Catering is available courtesy of the Alice Springs Branch of ICPA-steak sangers, hot food, drinks, sandwiches, ice creams, lollies.

No alcohol is sold over the weekend – BYO, however there will be ice available.
